Born in South Korea, raised in the midwest, Melinda has been a social worker in NYC for almost 20 years. She has a private practice based out of NY and NJ, having previously worked in community mental health, services for immigrants, youth programming, adoption and kinship care. She specialize in working with adoptees and their families, and others who are navigating issues of identity, attachment/intimacy, and grief/loss.”
Joy is an Asian American LCSW deeply committed to conversations on identity, culture, and reconciliation. Her entire adulthood has been dedicated to creating programs, mentorship, and exploring her Korean American and adoptee identities. As a therapist and counselor, she seeks to walk with others who are curious and courageous in their healing journeys—exploring everything from trauma and grief to history, body, and the search for belonging. Joy’s private practice is based in NY.
Kim often works with neurodivergent QTBIPOC and intercountry and/or transracial adoptees navigating challenging systems and relationships. They aim to center collaboration, curiosity and compassion in the co-creation of a safe enough relational space that invites the possibility of growth and change. Anti-carceral and disability justice-informed values guide Kim in their work. They see clients in NY, NJ, and CA.
As an Asian American and transracial adoptee, Jessica carries a deep awareness of how identity, family, relationships, biology, and life circumstances intertwine to shape one’s sense of belonging and well-being. In her work as a therapist, she’s had the privilege of continuing these conversations with clients, exploring how their own stories hold both struggle and resilience, and how these experiences shape their healing and growth.
